Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY
Performs removal, repair, installation, inspection, and operational check of installed and uninstalled F-100 aircraft engines and propulsion system components. Assists in aircraft movement using applicable towing equipment and technical orders. Performs aircraft scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing, launch and recovery, corrosion control, and inspection with minimum supervision. Operates ground support equipment and flight line vehicles, assists in aircraft/equipment movement. Works for the F-16 Lead Crew Chief Mechanic
Perform required maintenance tasks on F-16 aircraft at Luke AFB, AZ.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs removal, repair, installation, inspection, and operational check of installed and uninstalled F-100 aircraft engines and propulsion system components.
Repairs off-station aircraft as required.
Complies with stall and flameout checklist requirements.
Documents the removal and installation of serially controlled components (00-20- series TOs) and updates IMDS.
Researches and requisitions engine parts and components and determines the reparability and serviceability of these assets.
Performs aircraft scheduled/unscheduled on and off equipment maintenance.
Services aircraft with fuel, oil, grease, hydraulic fluid, air, oxygen and nitrogen.
Launches and recovers aircraft, to include tie-down, cover, plug and pin removal and installation, marshalling, and assists on pilot preflight.
Performs aircraft corrosion control procedures to include wash, wipe down, polish and vacuum.
Performs aircraft preflight, thru-flight, basic post-flight and periodic/phase inspections.
Operates GSE, flight line vehicles and other support equipment as required.
Drives tow vehicles for the purpose of towing equipment and aircraft.
Maintains a safe and FOD free work area, and controls assigned tools.
Orders aircraft/equipment parts.
Completes maintenance documentation using IMDS and required forms.
Must be willing to train to other aircraft maintenance tasks as required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Work Environment:
The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. Will be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail
Physical Demands:
Work in some classifications will usually be accomplished in an outdoor flight line environment or maintenance hangar, as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with on-equipment/aircraft activities. Typical physical activities include climbing, standing, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking, and working in tiring, uncomfortable positions. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds.

Minimum Requirements
Active security clearance is required.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Must have a minimum of three years of hands-on engine maintenance experience, and completed a military aviation technical school or possess an Airframe and Power Plant License, An in-depth knowledge of the F-100 engine and applicable Air Force TOs, directives and other publications is desired. Two years (within the last five years) of F-16 maintenance experience is desired.
Must be in-depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives.
Must be able to successfully complete the job training within 60 days of hire.
Must have an in-depth knowledge (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations.
Must have an in depth knowledge of aircraft common and special tools and test equipment.
Must have an in-depth knowledge of aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications-read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications
Must be willing and able to work with job required hazardous materials
Must be willing and able to conduct specialty on the job training.
Must be willing to train to other aircraft maintenance tasks as required.
LICENSING, CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Blade Blend & Borescope
Must be able and willing to obtain and maintain the following special certifications if required;
Engine Borescope / Blade Blend / Intake & Exhaust
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must work with customer in a courteous and professional manner.
Complies with established policies, procedures, and standards.
Complies with all safety, bioenvironmental, security, and housekeeping standards.
Complies with training requirements.
Actively participates in the Safety Program.
Ensures HAZMAT processes are followed.
Must be able to work day shift, night shift, weekend duty, and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team or TDY as required.
Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule as our shifts can change weekly based on the flying schedule.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must have a working knowledge of IMDS.
Must have a current Arizona driver's license, and be able to obtain and maintain a government flight line driver's license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim secret government security clearance as a minimum.
Must be willing to train to other aircraft maintenance tasks as required.
Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times.
Assists in upkeep of assigned facilities/grounds as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
