HOUSING MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes Knowledge of agency management procedures and general business principles and practices related to the management of unaccompanied housing to provide oversight of the housing assistance section. Knowledge of funding procedures to provide annual budget requirements for local household goods drayage and storage program and to justify annual financial submittals for the housing element. Knowledge of unaccompanied housing instructions, policies, administrative practices, and procedures to counsel personnel. Knowledge of housing audit or survey requirements and procedures and skill in performing regular or periodic reviews of unaccompanied housing management operations. Knowledge of one or more automated databases associated with unaccompanied housing management and referral function to recognize, locate, and insert data/information, support housing operations, and produce a variety of documents and reports OR EDUCATION:
I have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as insert applicable field(s) of study . You must submit a copy of official transcripts. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of DoD, HQ USAF, and MAJCOM Unaccompanied Housing (UH) principles, theory, policies, directives and procedures. 2. Knowledge of appropriated and non-appropriated funding policies and procedures and the skill in developing budget justifications. 3. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 4. Skill in conducting audits or studies, evaluating the results, determining the feasibility of necessary repairs and/or improvements, and scheduling /coordinating corrective actions. 5. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, both orally and in writing. 6. Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and methodology related to housing referral and relocation support services. Factor 8:
Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion involved in frequent onsite visits to conduct inspections of facilities and grounds. The work involves walking, climbing many stairs, bending and prolonged standing or driving a vehicle to perform surveys and studies. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
